    Timing is also an important factor. Generally the new models enter the market from August to November. So the chance of availing of discounts is the period just prior to this. The dealer is then interested in disposing of his old stock.

    The end of the month is also a good time for the buyer to push through because for the seller it is the time for reaching deadlines. The seller then concentrates on the sale and not on the customer. Just when the buyer makes a move to go away the seller will agree to reduce couple of dollars so as to improve the number of car sales.

    It is better to knock on the door of the sellers on weekdays. At that time buyers are at a premium and can have the last word on the deal. A seller would not like to see the sole prospective buyer to walk away.

Armed with a prior strategy the buyer can take away the advantage that dealers enjoy. Times are tough nowadays and one needs to be sure of buying the best suitably priced car.
